Syndrome X.X: Silence may be kept

Marking the mid-way point of our development period. Syndrome presented a sound new work by Nathan Jones in the Lady Chapel at the Anglican Cathedral

Silence may be kept features the voice of a young girl reading from the Compline, or Prayer at the End of the Day.  As the night progresses, the sounds which combine to produce this prayer gradually drift out of sync with each other.  The piece draws on the vulnerability of a voice when it is denied the power of meaning, and the limitless potential of language which seeks to bridge the earthly and divine.
